A genre a can't just die, "e.g People from the 80's still listen to 80's Music".
They might not play hip-hop on major channels "Say MTV" Then like a bunch of sheep
that everyone are/is, they follow. But that still doesn't mean it dies, People still listen to it.

or your group of Friends, No longer like the genre then think no one would like it either same stereotype.
