extra fans?????????/

ok so im modding my spare (old RROD+busted lazer.) xbox
i've fixed it
yay

bin working fine for like 2months now
and i've finally got my order of extra fans and sata data/power cables (for internal hardrive) i know how to wire up the fans, thanks guys for all you pn outs and wot not.

but my question for you guys is fan placement and more importanly which direction shall they blow in ?? in or out??? i know it'll probilly depend on there placement,
any tips guys???

i put mine on top of front heatsink, unless u have old setup, put it in front of the front heatsink, then have it blowing into it.

What type of fans are you talking about?

Core coolers?
iflash?
Extra whisper fans?
PC fans?

If it's an older console,(old heatsinks) most of the PC fans will fit right inside the console. Just have it blow down on the mobo and that will cause the air to blow all down inside.

If you have newer heatsinks you cannot do this.(why they came out with core coolers v2).

Iflash fans won't fit inside(I place those on top of the case in front of the cpu heatsink)

I've heard of people placing an extra whisper fan on the outside of the case??? Dumb if you ask me.....

yea its a old box 2006 i think...
 it did av old small heat sinks but now has nice new 1's with the extra heat pipe and small sink on the side i already decided where i was goin to put them just really want to know in or out  blowing direction

and just for you who farted there PC fans if i was using wisper or core coolers they just bolt/sit straight in y would i need to know wot direction there blowing in?????? ner


ok so i've done both fan mods so here's som pics


a small blue lit fan for my mate's console.

no finished pics of it yet as its not finished .

also note 1 was a newer console with the extra heat pipe and larger heats sink hence why my mate got a small fan

but on my console... its a older 1 but i changed the heats sinks for newer 1's and still have managed to squeeze a 60mm fan in there with a small cage mod. and the fan is not touching either heat pipe orr sink.
