ima go with robots here... i mean what do you want to be opening up on xmas morning? some boring computer parts? or a scweet robot? lol

your gonna want to make sure to get at least the autonomous model that comes with a PIC18F8520 and I am assuming some sample code to get you running.  It does come with tutorials so you would be learning microcontrollers, so it would be useful if you like that stuff. 

If you want to get RF as well as autonomous options that would be cool if the means are there, but if you get only RF your basicaly just getting and RC car and not a robot.

greet thanks now it makes it even harder to decide. i guess robots b/c i have a lappy. i would get the duel one
