ok so I have done 360 controllers upside down and sideways lol. I need a new idea, or request. let me know your thoughts or if anyone has a special request for a controller set up let me know and we will see if we can make it reality.

Iwas thinking of an xbox controller woring with the ps3, not super sure about using a ps3 controller on the xbox, me personally the ps3 controller is part of what turns me off about my ps3. what would be uber cool is if I could put a selector switch so it could work with either system...that would never work.

bluetooth to rf..rf to bluetooth or swap and rebuild the internals. i will think about that. good call i know nothing about the ps3 controller as I have never opened it lol

Either a ps3 controller in a 360 as I prefer the feel of the 360 controller. Make the buttons stealthy and have them touch sesitive so that the entire controler is smooth apart from the joy sticks. Or make everything nibs so that it's 4 nibs and no buttons.

uh no, its rf vs bluetooth, I could rework the ps3 system to fit inside an xbox controller but prolly not 360 into a ps3.

multifunctional would be a nightmare. as its rf vs bluetooth. you would have to pick one and convert the signal of for the other, it would take alot of programing.

i like the touch sinsitive idea also that sounds awsome!!! this is defenatly a posibility..

could it be done?.... yes. However there are some fundamental differences from MS controller to Sony's that make this much more difficult a mod then cutting and jumping and using some million pole switch. The triggers and analog sticks are potentiometers on MS controllers. On Sony triggers are pressure sensative and are not pots, neither are the analogs, they use some magnetic sensing that is not anything like a potentiometer(they may be conditioned to a similar signal but not sure). That means that you have to convert either the potentiometers into a form that Playstation can understand or vice versa. This mod will take electrical signal processing as well as a switch that can control something like 30 individual poles for each button as well as power.

Not exactly a weekend project.

Blue tooth to RF or vice versa is also something that would not be possible without decoding MS proprietary RF signals. which will most definately put you in legal trouble becaus MS charges big money in order to license an after market controller. with Blue tooth it may be possible to manipulate depending on how open the Sony device is, in other words if you could sync a sony controller to say a laptop and use it, then you could conceivable make a bluetooth reciever that can in turn control a MS controller. Way more difficult then it is worth imho

build a lighter in your controller, i always wanted that for my w*ed....lol

i allways lose my controllers maybe build a finder in it, so when you whisle it will trigger a sound and lights.
you can buy those pc's pre-made for like 4 dollar.
i did it with my psp it rocks

like remapable buttons? or for like combos on a button? remapabel you sould have to cut all the traces and have a ass load of inputs and outputs..do able..lots of code.

I love the idea, of the sleek, no button, touch sincitive controller, I acctually love this idea, but am have alot of trouble finding a sensor that would be practical, not to mention cost effective. lol

You would to big of a pro if you did the controller swap mod.

I have a request for a controller. Make a(n) Xbox360 controller in a PS3 controller case. Use the current player indicator into the ring to tell you which player you are obviously. Replace the L3 and R3 with the ability to change firemodes. Make the USB into the battery charger. Put the headset/keyboard hole at the bottom of the PS3 controller and make it look like it was meant to be there. Paint the controller white. I would totally buy this from you.

i did two built in mics, dint work so well, hard to finded a mic that pics up voice from about 2-3 ft, plus u have to put in a head phone jack and use ipod headphones or the mic wont turn on

well, this would require some kind of wireless device and receiver, and would totally ruin online multiplayer games lol, but a lagswitch controller. you push a tactile and it activates, or deactivates (depending on how its set up) the lag switch. YOu would need a receiver which would be sup up in an ethernet cable or plug

It would be something new and also something many n00bs would go after lol.

Also, i really want to have an opensource quickscope mode.

Well Matt, I have read alot of sugestions, and being that you have modded xbox 360s and controllers sides and back and upside down etc. You have to take yourself to the next level of gaming , just as MS ( Microsoft ) did. I am suprised you havent thought of modding the new project natal when it comes out. Also I am new at this stuff and talked to you the other day about my me and making a rapid fired wired controller which I am stumped on. Heres another Idea, Light activated leds when the games such as MW2 etc, is playing that the leds light up in your xbox to the sounds and change colors to differnt sounds , base sounds, etc , just ideas something to think over
