Controller mod-off Part 1

Did some pre-mod trimming prep for some other mods, next will be drilling for side LEDs and then on to paint...

No its not the solder, its my cheap $15 iron. The iron doesn't get as hot as more expensive ones...

but hey it does the job

Oh i see man. Try getting a softer solder and the thinner it is the easier it is to solder.

did some stuff today, got all internal mods done, side LED holes drilled, and buttons also drilled...

Controller mod-off Part 2

So everything is ready to be painted, will be ordering some LEDs tomo.

As of now there will be 22 LEDs on the sides (11 each handle), 4 LEDs in the buttons, and a PS button LED for a grand total of 27 LEDs, wiring will be fun in this one...

Alright well i was thinking for those buttons its a step more to do you can but the top of it into the button but not the sides and some how maybe fit some clear plexi glass or something of that size with a nice curve shape to that would give off more light reflection instead of the led it self its an idea but its up to you bro.

HMM LIKE THE PROGRESS.  If you don,t have $$$ for plexi. Yet here an idea do you have any cd case laying around. Just cut the small circle out of the cd lid. Then glue into place

Ya I sanded for about 30min each side, its smooth as glass now, will have a nice gloss finish when its done

case is gonna be gloss white with gloss blue accent pieces (R1, R2, L1, L2, buttons) and then some kind of graphic or somthin

Krylon Fusion is the best paint for plastic around...

I thought the whole point of Krylon Fusion is that you didn't need to sand?

Just be careful with clear coat and the buttons.  They might get too big and not fit into the controller. ;)
