do you think this is a good idea?
« on: October 20, 2009, 04:32:13 PM »
okay i never liked the place people put the buttons for a rapid fire mod. I found a spot that i like but i want some peoples opinions and maybe help. I noticed when opening my controller that their was some space not used in the right and left bumpers {shown in pic}. the only problems i can think of is if i push the bumper down will it hit the tack switch, and how can i mount the tack switch so if i press the tack switch it wont press the bumper at the same time.

sorry for quality token with Iphone firs pic is turned

Thanks!

its too close, nomatter what it is going to activate the bumper. you could cut the trace and solder to the lb and make it rf, and relocate the bumper button

i've thought about this before
n came up with:
if you cut the end off of the bumper just a small peice big enough for the tactile and glue it in the pad with the tact mounted in it

so basically you'll end up with a short bumper and a tactile switch there instead of a bumper

but gave up with the idea after destroying my bumpers lol

but now thinkin bout it more???#
if you cut the bumper in half say
put the half that contacts the LB RB tactiles in like normal

then glue the other hlafs to the tacles and then the tactile into the controler so your pushing the cutoff glue on bit to activaterf or what not.

it may work but may look a bit poo

hmmm may be worth trying this again at som point

laxboy it wont activated LB RB if you cut the LB RB bumper in half like i said in the post above your!!!!!

yes mat does know wot he's on bout
but he's tellling this to cut traces and move the LB RB to extra button

wot i think blake is trying to do is make less buttons on the pad not MORE!!
