CR-3100 vs. CR-5400 and other odds and ends
« on: November 02, 2009, 08:01:35 AM »
I've been doing a lot of research and I'm pretty sure I could manage the CR-3100 mod, I'm just more wondering which is better?
Does the PSP has a read and write speed limitation?
Which memory cards should I get? Brand? Class?
Where is a good place to get a housing case? I want a clear black one?
Do they make a powermat PSP battery?
PSP-2001 -> 5.50 GEN-D2
PSP-2001 -> 5.00 M33-6

The 3100 is better because It has faster write and read speeds.
No, It really just depends on the Mem card
Sandisk, and get the real ones, not the fakes off ebay or dx
Ebay has the smoke black cases,coolmods does to, but its alot more
Yes, but it still uses wires

Ok I'll attempt to destroy my psp...
Worse comes to worse I'll use parts from my other psp.
What is there a difference between this kingston i found and this sandisk?
Is this a legit case?
Somebody should make a powermat battery! :P

The difference is the company who make them,newegg wont show specs, but IM sure they are the same
There are no "legit" cases (besides OEM),but yes, that case will work out fine
And I dont care for the whole power mat thing

i know how todo that
ment this
Its glued to a hinge that's glued to the case at the bottom of Cr-3100 and its just sitting on the H frame so it can slide across the bottom and lift it up when opened.
like where can I get a hinge for that
PSP-2001 -> 5.50 GEN-D2
PSP-2001 -> 5.00 M33-6

I believe that modder just used a piece of elctrical tape to hold the CR-3100 inplace on the h-frame. You can use hotgule to hold it in place but i found it doesn't stick for long with use. I'd recommend the electrical tape. if you want to make it permernate, surcure the tape with some super glue.
