Question about CC's in PC
« on: November 08, 2009, 07:04:09 PM »
Ok i have 2 15 inch sound reactive cc's. I wanted to put them on the back of my monitor to make the wall behind my moniter glow to the music pulsing. The wires werent long enough, so i cut them and added extra wire. Now the CC's dont light up fully. It could be of two reasons: a) i didnt solder them b/c i dont have my soldering iron, i just twisted the wires together or B) i used 18 gauge speaker wire, beucase thats all i have here at college lol.

Why dont they light up? i re attached them without the speaker wire and without soldering, and it worked perfectly, but whenever i add the extra wire (an extra foot or foot and a half i'd say), the cc's only lightup 3/4ths of the way. wats the deal?

Thanks

lengthen your wires that supply power to the cathode inverter see if that fixes the issue. if it doesn't it will narrow down what the problem is
