Laptop battery question
« on: November 17, 2009, 08:28:34 PM »
So my laptop (a dell inspiron 1545) battery has been getting HOT lately.  This lappy is a refurb that obviously came from somewhere besides america, because I had to change the region for the DVD drive, but I never thought anything of it because I assumed dell knew what they were doing (obviously a mistake i know). Since it was getting hot I decided, why not take a can of air to the connectors, maybe that would help.  When I took the battery out I looked at it and I saw that it said "Japan Only". I couldnt believe it, but I said to myself, maybe it is supposed to say that.  What do you guys think? should it say that? should I raise hell with dell? I already called and they are sending me a replacement, but should I press it?

Mine just says "Cell made in Korea, Pack assembled in China".
No mention of Japan.

One would assume a company gets all of their parts from the places. Like, all batteries from the same manufacturer.
I could be wrong though
