Well we all know christmas is around the corner and I can't wait that long so I'm opening my presents right now!

I have ordered the archos today and I did rush shipping for $3 extra and I hope it gets to me before/during the weekend. It's shipped via ups and it was free. and they are in california too so hopefully that cuts down the delivery time.

I haven't ordered the headphones yet because of lack of money. If I get some more money soon then I will.

I'm going to post a detailed review of the archos when I get it. My camera broke so there may not be pictures but I'll do my best to make it happen. Maybe a video too.

You should've gotten that new one that just came out.. Archos 7? 10? Something like that.

yeah the archos five did suck, but this is a different archos 5. There's two models, the regular one and the android one. I got the one with android. It's hard to see it in the pictures but it is the android one. The design is different the the regular archos 5 and if you look at the last picture you see the box has android on it.

I'll take pictures of it next to a ds lite, psp, and hopefully and old ipod if I still have it.

I can't wait to put all my shows on. Hopefully my friend will let me borrow her camera and I'll take pictures and do a video. We'll finally confirm once and for all if it is really unusable or if it's the greatest thing on earth.

if that's the case I can get a full refund from newegg. and why would an older version of the archos 5 160gb cost more then the 250gb? it doesn't make sense.

it makes sense if it's the new one with android though and pictures seem to support it so I'm guessing it's the new one. Also the original price is what archos normally sells the 160gb android model anyways so that leads me to believe it's the new one.

UPDATE: Tracking says it's supposed to come tomorrow. I'm probably going to wake up early and just drive to the station and pick it up so I don't have to wait on the postman/truck guy.

What i love the digital donloads my 2k broke, it more fully intigrates into PS3, it has support for DS3s, plus i got a few waaayyyy old exploit crashes that I wanna test.

after 2 days of no update's it's at the station and it's already out for delivery. I wish they were slower so I could've just picked it up instead of waiting. anyways it's coming soon.

Does anybody know of a program that lets me use my webcam to take videos? I could probably make a video with my computer if it works.

I got it and I LOVE IT! I replaced the keyboard on it with the anysoftkeyboard and it works a lot better. I haven't been able to get into appslib but I installed andappstore on it and it works great. I have also installed newsrob on it so I can read my rss feeds and I really like that. I'm copying all my movies to it now. I wish the interface was just a little bit more polished but it still works really great. everything is fast.

The gps software is a little iffy though it keeps on losing my gps signal but I'm going to try it out on the road tomorrow and see if it works. I'm also going to try a bunch of different gps software and post results. but I do like the Ndrive interface and the maps look up to date from what I can tell so it's just the signal issue.

Right now I'm installing a comic viewer to read my comics and I'm thinking about installing a ebook reader. I'm also going to test out the bluetooth on it.

When I get a camera I'll post pictures but right now I don't have one. I'll keep you guys updated. Also if somebody wants me to test apps I can do it. So far all of the apps I have loaded work really well.

EDIT: I was browsing craigslist today and I saw a ad for bose headphones for $45. I called the guy and asked if he would take $35 and he said yes, so tomorrow I'm going to get a pair of bose headphones instead of the beta brainwavz ones. I'm really scoring this christmas!

a waste to the averedge consumer??? Sony has documented 3x more PSP sales after the Go was released...anyways i just like stuff that can fit in my pocket nicely.

Ok I have tested out the Ndrive gps software and I can say it IS crap. I wouldn't recommend buying it. So for people planning on buying this for the gps I would either ditch the idea or find a different gps software to use. I have read reports that other gps softwares work great and issue is just with Ndrive alone.

also it charges really slow but everything works great. apparently getting the battery dock is supposed to make it charge faster but I don't know how. I'll be planning on buying one anyways for the usb host. Even though it charges slowly it still gets really great battery life.

I got it for $300 from newegg. if that $100 off makes a difference to you then you should get it. I just hope archos updates the android to 2.0 so we can go to the marketplace.

I don't use appslib. I use andappstore for my apps. It's much faster and it has more apps. I haven't run into a app yet that I can install. it's very good. There's also a couple more app stores too but I don't remember their names.

because i don't know what his mac adress is because our home computer runs on a different network than his, and I need his mac adress to connect to wifi.

I had to send mine back because for some reason it wouldn't connect to usb after a while. I'll post a review on the one that I get back. I really liked the thing and i wished that it didn't break. Also it now has android marketplace via a few hacks so that's what I'm going to do on the one I get back to load a few cool apps/games.
