My 10 Dollar PSP

My PSP Phat. I bought this PSP for 10 bucks with a broken screen and a rusty UMD drive. I traded a friend a screen for some LED's and 30 AWG kynar wire, and I replaced the UMD drive with one I had lying around from a PSP that I broke the backlight connector on the mobo back when I was a noob. And I installed CFW 5.00 m33-6 on this PSP. The kid I bought this PSP from also gave me a broken mp3 player and I used the backlight LED's from it to make the trigger LED's. So, this PSP only cost me 10 bucks. The PSP in my signature, I traded it for a Darth Vader Slim, which I installed 5.00 m33-6 on.


The UMD door window is made from UMD case plastic.

Wow great find  :clap:. If only i could find a psp in similar condition to throw my extra screen in  :beg:

It's really scratched in front though. I'm gonna get chrome housing for it.

Id take a scratched to hell working psp over one that doesnt work anyday, And the chrome housing should look nice. Any other ideas?

Well, I might do some LED swaps, and a jewel on the new housing once I get it. And I want to put LED's by the jewel. I am keeping the UMD drive, cause it looks kind of cool, especiallly when lit up with LED's. But I never really use the UMD drive.

Yah im in the same situation to keep my umd drive or not. I have it set up with a 3rd speaker where the ring is and i fit it perfectly so the umd can still be there. But at times i just want to get rid of it

yeah the chrome case are nice i put one on a buddy's psp







it looked good for the first couple months but it scratchs really easy and its got black lines on the back of it now where the chrome scratched away from sitting it down and that he's actually about to order a red housing and have me swap them out LOL
