i am an adult 40 years old my sons would love you for this

I ask spurg but he is over seas and I am in nyc .

just the modded d-pad with or without lights no need for the xtra b button and rapidfire in both wiliing to supply
1.controllers needed
2.parts for d-pad mod ring from faceplate
3 two sets of EVIL STICKS
4.rapidfire if you can let me know which one I should get

how much for your time and effort to do mod ?

please as i say I will supply all you need to do the mod except the fiber filling
if you are able to do the mod or if you can just do 2 joystick move them without the d-pad mod thats cool to but would offer less for service

Thanks spurgurgle I just don't have the time nor patience I got so many home improvements to finish and my wife would be giving me slack for starting a project on this man if i can't find some one I guess i will have to figure out how much shipping would be and find the magic number to get you to make me one

hey i got the time and patients for this i really couldn't give u a eta of when it would be done because well i have never dne this... its outta the norm for me im used to led change outs and stuff like that but

this is a bad ass mod... dude u out did urself with this spugurgle... and person who posted this thread if u pay for parts and shipping ill do this mod for free... this is what i like to do for 1 thing and 2 i see no reason in charging for a mod that is not my own idea so hey i will do this if spurgurgle approves it and says its cool.... hell this might be the mod i been lookin for to get me goin in the forum

yeah mate you have my blessing to do this mod..... maybe u'll find a better way to do it.... i just pm'd 1god king with a quick how to for the d-pad

here it is

-ok first get a face plate...
-shave the plastic holding the power button in....
-trim the plastic outcrops off of the button(not all of it you want the small [] portion of it to stop the d-pad twisting....

ok so thats the buton prepped

-now cut a peice of breadboard-
-mount 4 7mm tactiles on it (further enough apart so the power button sit over them but they still fit inside the rim on the power button,,,
-now take a rubber bit from under the ABXY and cut one of the rubber bits off. i used Y's rubber. and super glue this to the breadboard...in the middle then to the pokey out clear plastic bit in the centre of the button...(this will secure the button to the circuit board. and give it a pivot point.) i then used 3 more rubber bits in 1 in each corner (the 4th corner had my leds in it) these cushion the button a bit n giv it som spring..)

ok now for the case. i used a file to file down the anolog housing from the outside til it was flat to the top of the case...
-then cut 4 notches to take the [] bits on the button. on the inside of the case
- test fit it and make sure it all fitts well. works well and what not. (it took a few trys to get it to fit good work good and not twist )

now just run 8 wires from ur d-pad contacts on the pcb to the 4 tactiles. glue the button in the case and close it up.....

sorry this guide isnt very good but i never thought any1 would want a guide for this...

what gauge wire is that you are using ?

i had the rubber up the other way..
and also you trimmed the plastic out crop bits from the button. which means it'll twist a bit if playing say street fighter...

i left the top and bottom plastic bits on to stop it being able to twist.

and also i think my completed d-pad was only bout 10-15mm from the bottom of the bread board to the top of the button.

there was plenty of room under it to have excess wire or a taller d-pad.

and i was using 30awg wire. the same stuff i use for all controller modz..

here a diagram of what i plan to do for the d-pad tell me what you think
1. I am going to use the original d-pad guts file it down to the suggest hieght
2.attach it to the breadboard with the tactile switches with one screw dead center
using a spring from a pen in between the original d-pad and and breadboard pushed through the scew used to attach the 2
3. glue the new d-pad to the top of the original d-pad once shaved
4. place either foam or something to give me just enough clearance so when the pad is pushed the screw attaching the d-pad to the breadboard can pivot down and be forced back up by the spring

here is a ball and pivot from a rc control arm I may try to use gluing it flat to the breadboard and screwing the pivot screw in to the base of the d-pad base

yeah that looks good and if it works it'll probilly be better then mine.....

i tried to keep mine quite simple..........

but after doing it i have thought of other ways to do it...
so try it out n if it dont work go back to the drawing board ....

good luck with this mod.....

i hope to see more progress on this...

hey guys... i am kinda making a moch version on my classic xbox controller just to get the feel for it and also instead of tactiles for the rapids fire... mainly because i havent tried it... i wanted to install a intensafire from the AM shop i like them and havent had any complaints so far with the people who ive installed them for

good thats what modding is all about....

i took xbox's controller and modded it.. you've now taken my idea and moddd that... im glad to see this.....

also i think you should really start a properwork log in the 360 controller section on this.......

yes plus school is priority I have a 8 year old and 12 and believe me A+ are a must if not nothing I mean nothing else is allowed until I know they are giving a 100% to school so take care of that not for me not for your dad but for yourself

its cool tbh my dad doesnt care i should care and faintly do idk why either... in conversation u would think im a genious... haha and all my friends are like u can do all this crap with electronics why cant u pass school im like idk school bores me XD and teachers talk too much

idk i just hate it in general and the weird thing is i cant focus eeven if i wanted to... i try and try but nope too many ppl around me doing crazy crap and its like grr.... idk i need music to tune them out or me alone and im fine.... thats how it is when i do modding work im alone with music blaring... o btw for the next two weeks i cant do any mods cause i was edging up my case im making from plexiglass with an X-acto knife and i cut the tip of my finger off and the 1 next to it i cut the side down to the bone about 1.5 inches long i had to get stitches lol it looked sooo cool b4 the stiches but now i have to put all modding aside til they heal

Hey, looking really good. Sorry I'm joining in so late lol. I have been wanting to make a new d-pad for a while now but haven't had the time to do any experimenting. When you are done maybe you could make an in-depth tut and put it in the tuts section. Also, what are you using on top of the original d-pad. that -^- looking thing _--_ looks like that?
