how many of you finding yourself praying for payday by the end of the week?  no matter how i horde my money, i always run out by the second week.  anyone else deal with that a lot?

I also get paid weekly, I don't have a problem with running out, I have a system and I usually end up saving around 40% of my pay

i take half my pay and put it away for savings

i spend like 20% of my weekly pay and then save the other 80% for future uses ;P

10% to me (yay! Father-in-law always told me: always remember to pay yourself first, you worked for it after all), 10% to charity (tax deduction!), 10% to 401K (though now I would say to get an IRA, 401Ks aren't worth anymore...), 10% to savings,  10% to cost of living (groceries and such), 50% to bills (never let your bills get to be more than 50% of what you earn after taxes or you'll drown)...

at least that was my breakdown when I had a job... and I still always felt like I never had money...

I always end up cutting things a little to close between gas and my truck payment every month. I am going to start saving more though. The 40% system sounds pretty good. I am getting more hours now so what better time than now to start saving for things. I am selling my solo x 10 on ebay and hope to get arround 400 for it but it is going torwards my next system.

I put aside $75 a week out of a 450-500 pay check a week for expenses. Anything left is savings. The rest goes intomy bank account. I save alot of moneythis way. And when I buy somthing, it's tomake more money. Right now I'm buying parts to build a CNC, and I'm also tryingtobuy cheap house properties. When the economy gets better (yeah right), im going to try and sell the properties for some more money, and the cycle continues. Also, after I finish my CNC, I'm gonna make custom PC cases, xbox mods, etc. I also might be able to sell it for some money

no problems here, i work in the vacations and on saturdays and get some money from parents and grandparents. got like 15000 dollar left atm

I find myself running out of money a lot lately >.< my system started to fail a while back, I suppose I could always lower my standards but what fun would that be. Thankfully I am living in minimal debt and what I do have are health bills. Other than that I seem to break even and manage to save a bit of money every once in a while. I made a decision a long time ago, if I don't have cash for something I don't need it. Thus I don't even have a credit card. Although my credit is perfect. I had one for a while for just my cell phone. Over all though I wouldn't mind saving more money. Or just randomly chancing across a huge stack of cash... But you know.

Sorry for the long rant, it is 4:15 and I am hallucinating on ambien and oxycodone. (Insomnia and I just had knee surgery.)
