DUAL NUB WITHOUT RAZOR-X

i think this should be on tutorial section.

1st. take apart the nub.
we only need the upper and lower part of the nub.


2nd, dremel down the lower part of the nub so it became thin and smaller, the left shows the lower part of the nub before dremel. and on the right shows after.


3rd, by using a small needle, poke 4 holes through the lower part of the nub so you can 'sew' in the kynar wires. the kybar wire on the side ore for /\,[],O,X. and the middle are for grounds.
 

as you can see the wire doesn't get in the way for the nub to move.


final, put in the spring and glue the stuff together.


it works much better then razor.

cant see the middle (ground -) wire xD (im a newb) . oh and does this truly work? . and for phat (1000) or slim (2000) or both. o and is this a fat nub or  a slim nub

i agree with TeaBubblez that it wont work without ground.. i think im correct.

this method, i have tested. the only flaw the occured. is the spring is a bit noisy because as it move it touches more surface (the kynar wires)

ps: there is ground. its the middle ring of 30awg

yea. indeed the picture does show 4. its actually 5. 4 for the buttons 1 for ground.

the flaw is that as u move ur spring. it touches the kynar wire (30awg) but then at times if its not flat enuf, etc the spring will get caught some how. but yea once make ur surface as flat enuf. the problem reduces

you wont have any trouble if you place the kynar correctly, try to place the kynar so it will just barely touches the spring when you push the nub.

my vid can be moved to this thread if need be evan though im not using it on a psp, it is doing the same thing lol.. but only once my mod is released to public...

and also sorry no i havent mentioned you in the video... as it was not a test of your mod it was a test to see if your mod worked on something else instead of a psp..... i knew this would work already...

and dam wish i thought of putting some greasy in my nubs..... before i gluded it shut lol.........

but dont worry you will get all the credit for the idea and info in the tut... ill just wirte it up into Am format lol nice work wet i cant wiat to see more projects like this from you!

if im not mistaken this is the dual nub without razor that i made for someone.
psp custom mods ( dual nub activated by hold switch)

as you can see the date was around august last year, i do actually have created a few new mods, but never have the time to upload it all.

it works! lol. only thing i did different from him is that i didnt put the ground ring in. i directly solderd the ground wire to the nub's spring
