PS3 Mainboard audio
« on: January 14, 2010, 01:51:18 PM »
Im not sure if I'm gonna get any help on this one, but I'm looking to make my pulseVU mod in my PS3 to be all internal, ive found a internal power source for the chip, but nothing to make the AL and AR (audio left and right) work internally, I used a headphone jack for a while but looking to make that internal somewhere as well.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Well anyway I took some pics of the mainboard...

I think the best way would be to disect a a/v cord you use and figure out the right pins that it uses for the audio, actually i think i have one lying around ill go check

thanks for the help...

for an update, I applied some new thermal compound which helped out greatly, got the mounds of dust out, and made the power internal (no more stupid USB cords lol)

My PS3 used to get hot way too fast, within 10min of playing, the fan would kick to 100% and would not go down till I turn the thing off. With the new compound in, the fan has yet to go MAX, even when playing for 4hrs straight.

I'll look into the AV internally and see if I can solder to the terminal internally, if not ill keep the headphone jack for a while, at least I freed up 2 of the USB ports and cleaned the poor girl, now shes runnin like a champ :)
