ok so I recently got a new job and thought I'd post a little bit...

I'm no longer with Mercedes-Benz in their service department, I'm currently working for a Toyota body shop (doing the mechanical work in the shop, not body work)...

may be the only one interested in seeing the first couple of pics, but they are of the new workspace I'm in...



since this is the "modders autos" section i thought this was the appropriate place to post these pics...
This is not my car it actually belongs to my boss. It is fully documented and official, not a fake rip off...

tell me if you ever come across a 1995-1997 toyota supra twin turbo. it has been my dream car ever since i new what cars where....which was like '98-'99.

@FreeK: Hate to burst your bubble man, but you may wanna take a look at those pics again, that's no mustang, lol... and thanks, I really only miss the benzs a little... kinda nice not having to worry about scratching them and having to pay for repainting them out of my pocket, or breaking another $1200 windshield because the instructions for removing the dash are wrong and having to pay for that out of pocket...

@kilokk: yeah, it's pretty freakin' nice... though it's got either a blown head gasket or a cracked head, one of the two cause it eats coolant and spews white smoke... but it sounds awesome when it starts up...

lol, no, the body guys had to replace a frame rail after a crash, so out comes the engine... it's like magic, except far more labor intensive, and not quite so quick or mystifying when you see it done... So I guess it's not really like magic at all...

Idk what the insurance pays (as far as a dollar amount goes) but I know it pays me over 10 hours, only took me about 2 hours to get it out and maybe 2 going back in... As long as I remember how everything goes back together lol

off topic, I had a break calaper lock up on my 2007 f150 last week. saterday i replaced both front calapers, rotors with cross drilled, and new pads all around. took about 3 hrs. LOL and run me around $400 in parts. what a fun weekend!!!! then after I was done i went and plaied golf with the rest of the afternoon.

off topic: if u hate someone poor brake fluid all over their car and wash it off.
it will take a few days but the whole paint job will fall off and you wont be able to re-do it.

Yeah, taking apart is the easy part... The longer you wait to put it back together the harder it is... Try pulling a dash and evaporator on a Tacoma and waiting 3 weeks to put it back together... I only had 6 bolts and 2 nuts left over lol... Everything worked fine so they couldn't have been that important, right?...

Gotta love super glue.

And i know it's not the right way but if i don't have bolts and no one will see the spot i jsut glue it and put a screw in it...lol

lmao, screw 'the right way'... The only 'right way' is the one that gets the job done the fastest... Besides I did things 'the right way' for years at Benz and I didn't make any money, I do things my way and I bank...

And yes you do have to love super glue...

And things only rattle when left loose, most times there are more bolts than necessary (overkill to cya)... I've left out far more than that before and never had any problems... Besides when you pull a dash and have a bucket of over 50 bolts and even more nuts you're bound to miss a few... It's kinda like a 360 or a PSP, you can leave a few out and still have everything work just fine... Or so you hope lol

The oudeur (air filter for inside the car) is behind or next to the gas pedal @ ford. Got to tear the whole gas pedal and crap way and its friggin tight.
