Nintendo DSi XL or PSP Go ??
« on: February 25, 2010, 10:37:54 PM »
Guys,

My BD is the 12th of March and i want a DSI or a Go but IDK which to choose really.
I'll be using it on the airplane and that kind of stuff. I allready have a psp 2000 but im going to blow it up, why? because i can!...lol

I don't want any big presents for my BD just a DSI or a Go, I just don't know which one to choose.
Please tell me what your opinions are on this matter.

thanks,

deda

I would say a DSI, not an XL.  its a FAR superior gaming device than the psp go and it will actually fit in your pocket, unlike the XL lol

Hmm. PSP Go is more of a complete package but I do prefer some of the games on the DS. Buy whatever you want to play games on, that's how I sort out my console purchases.

The Nintendo DSi XL will most likely be cracked so that flash cards can be used shortly after it's release. That way you can carry all the games you own without having to carry around thirty individual games.

The PSP Go is clearly superior in terms of media but can be annoying for gaming for those of us with big hands or thick thumbs.

You said you will be using it on airplanes and so forth. So what do you intend to use it for? Do you want to watch movies and listen to music or do you want video games.

Lets all be honest, the PSP Go is shiny and we all love shiny. However... Well.. We can't... test video games first.. Like a demo of the game to see if its worth the cash. >.>;

The DSi XL isn't a shiny as the PSP but it offers by far more content then the Go has right now.

So for gaming, at this point in time I would go with the DSi XL. If you want media in your pocket go for the Go.

I'm not broke, that was a joke....lol
The psp slim is broken, it fell on the dround and some circuits are broken and it needs a new mobo and case.

I'll be using it for games mainly, i have a ipod nano (new one and 16gb) so i got enough music. I am also MAYBE going to buy a  Video player , or ask it for my BD from my grandparents (maybe the archos or a cowon).

What is the resolution of the DSI XL? I can't seem to find it.

btw, i tried the psp go from my mate and it feels a bit cramped for me. I have big hands (mechanic hands).

you should really get the dsi XL simply because it's easier to get games.  You can buy them used, new, and get them other ways.

I still think you should get a nintendo dsi XL.  I'm actually considering buying one if I have the money.  I tend to think for devices that are supposed to run homebrew or cool apps unless the device has a huge community backing (aka iphone or psp) the apps or any other cool stuff won't really happen.
