My spurgurgle controller
« on: March 02, 2010, 06:20:20 PM »
Ok so here is what i have so far on my spurg controller.  There are 3 different mods being applied to this controller.  Led flasher, jitter, and tops new 8 mode v7.  ALOT of leds, all the buttons being lit up, even the joysticks....[/img]

Looks very good. wich metod did you use to drill the case?
Would you have to wire new d-pad before put the analog stick over the old d-pad?

lol  another controller with my name in the title lol... cheers crazy....

i have however noticed you've dont the anolog move the hard way... you dont need all 10 of the wires for it ... (on a cg pad)
you need 1 for x axis
1 for y axis
1 for the click of the anolog
1 brigdeing the constant 1.5+V
and one brdgeing all the grounds ... heres a pic to show ya what i mean.

i made these up for gamerdude.. and i know you've already done your anolog move but still you could use these in the future.....

Thanks spurg, i just noticed that i dont need all those wires.  This is not the cg thats going in the controller anyways, im putting it all together on a crap board first to make sure everything fits right,  But ill make sure to wire it up the way you showed.  That is the easiest way, and as you may have noticed i still have to wire my dpad before i glue.  lol believe me this is not the board going in the controller.  Im also working on a controller with 3 joysticks.  Thanks for all the support everyong, it motivates me to finish this controller.

may i ask what about this controller made you give it my name????

are you doing my power button D-pad?????

yeah here's a pick of my current t0ppad... well the anolog install
the random wire you can see coming from the top of the anolog is for the right on the d-pad... the rest of the d-pad traces/via's are not under the anolog. so i aint wired them yet....

notice the bread board on the bottom of the anolog this is where i attached all the bridges and connections to.... and all the traces/via's i tapped into are underthe anolog itself so the only visable wire you can see on for the anolog is that one going to the ground.... tidy much???

the only things left for this anolog is a bit of epoxy around the base of it for extra strength once all the mods are installed

Wow spurg that looks so clean, but your joystick doesnt look flush with the board, or is it.  My biggest problem at first was how to get the joystick completely centered with the hole on the controller shell, and flushing it with the board.  I will take all the tips i can get, thanks spurg your work is awesome.

yeah its not 100% flush with the board... it about 2-2mm up due to the wires being under it... i had this same problem on the last anolog move i did.... and solved it buy packing up the other anolog stick a little so they look the same height once the case is on .........

it does the trick.. and doesnt look odd on the finished product...

i look forward to seeing this pad of yours complete....

and i cant wait to get some more work done on my current project (t0ppad)

yeah something like that.... i put a little glue in my right anolog to build it up higher.. rather then making the left one lower.... but im sure you'll find a evan medium between raising one and lowering the other.... so they look the same from the outside of the finshed controller...

i just re read your first post in this thread..... and you say lit anolog sticks?????? how???? i've tried it a few times before but always decided you need a transparent stick to do it with ????? cant wait to see this if you get it working????

Thanks guys, i should have more pics up this week.  Ive been slacking a little because i have a kid and he takes alot of time away from my project.  O ya the media remote you see in my signature pic is getting a little upgrade also.  Maybe a little led chaser mod or flasher.
