Broken controller, could be repaired?

Well this is the situation, my friend tried to open his controller and he broke it. He broke the case but also broke a component of the board. Its a matrix controller and this component is broken



Anyone knows if i can buy this component in a electronic shop or would have to get of another controller?

hmmm not sure iof you can buy them anywhere..... FOOKz will probilly know...

but if you had another busted matrix pad you could strip component off of there....

Ok, then if i buy it this are the values

I say becuase if i buy in digikey they have to ship to spain and the ship would be slow. I prefer to buy in UK becuase the ship is over 3-5 days (spain is a sh to buy components)

As long as you can get any 22uH Shielded Power Inductor it'll work. It doesn't have to really be SMD, but if it is make sure it's 'footprint' is the same, or at least close, so it'll fit on the existing pads.

It should be replaced, but a jumper wire can be used if you can't get/find a replacement. The controller will 'sputter' on start up with a jumper wire in place, but it will work.

Ok, yesterday checked it with a jumper and the controller turn on but it turn off quickly, I think if becuase the battery was low. I will try it slowly again. When I got to turn on the controller I saw that sync button was break and the contacts of the board also and I had to do new conections to check it. It worked so i will have to glue on the board.
