Nothing done so far, but this is just to show I'm in it and my 360 is still stock.

I'll let you guys in on the drive mod once I start it.

Happy Pi day guys!

Here's a parts list for now:
Spray paint
LM335
33 red 0805 leds (possibly double this)
33 blue 0805 leds (possibly double this)
A few switches
A button
Ambient light sensor (possibly)
4 TLC5940 16bit grayscale led drivers
Plexiglass
Uniquely modified disk drive *new mod*
/Secret/ ingredient to throw it all together

Most likely getting plexi tomorrow and starting this. Might draw up some stuff today and sand my case and stuff.

So far I have all of my parts already and just need the plexi and a few parts for my disk drive mod. I'm not sure what I need yet, though.

Quick question!

I need a logo, guys! 50/50 chance it will be used in the end design, but I need one just in case.

Post here what you think I should use and it will be highly considered!

Update 3/17
I finished the design and cut out part of my window. I'm getting sandpaper tomorrow to sand down the window and then cut out some plexi for the window. I'll probably be able to get the center part of the window cut out tomorrow as well, but that requires another case to cut apart and some tracing paper to get my design copied *perfectly*. I'll see if my art teacher has any tracing paper.

Nothing new. I'll be working on this tomorrow. I want to get majority of the window cut out at least, and maybe get my plexiglass fitted to it.

Got a new mod in mind as well...

Okay I lied. I was busy yesterday and it rained today so I couldn't go out and cut.

SO, I went and traced my design onto a clean 360 case to cut it out

Special thanks to my art teacher who gave me some tracing paper (gotta make sure my design was 100% identical).

So I won't be using that copied design up there ^ But here's my progress for the day:

Yes, I know, I have to epoxy the inside corners because I cut too wide.

Today's progress:

That's a single insert... 360 case+plexi backing, hand frosted using 160 grit sandpaper. Looks awesome in person.
Gotta take it to a belt sander once I have access to one so that the sides are flat, though.

Tomorrow's agenda [hopefully]:
Cut the main plexi window
Cut the "x360" letter/number inserts
Frost the plexi strip
Possibly paint the case...and fasten the plexi to it
Possibly paint the insert pictured above and the x360 logo inserts

Not sure how much I'll get to.

Didn't get as much done as I hoped, I had to go help out my grandparents because their basement flooded.

Just got 2 coats of black paint on the main case. I'll put a 3rd full coat on later after doing the inside and then probably put some laquer on it tomorrow.

After the paint's done, I'll be able to fit the plexi window and work on the rest of the center part...that's the hardest part of this.

FINALLY FIGURED OUT HOW I'M DOING THE CENTER PART (The new mod).
Awesome. I have to write a 3 page essay tomorrow after school, but after that I'll be fixing the plexi to the case and working on the center part.

After the case is done, I have a LOT of electrical work to do on it and then a TON of coding... that part will take the most time.

I got epoxy to work on the center section, so work continues today! Tomorrow night I'll be able to hopefully paint the center parts and then by Wednesday I *should* be able to start with the electronics stuff.

So the plexi is fitted to the main case now...

I'm extremely pissed. My stepdad chucked my black paint and laquer and I have no idea what brands they were, so I can't get the same exact paints.
The rest of my case is going to look different. I'm seriously ticked off.

Hopefully I can go and get that tomorrow...

To do:
Paint and laquer the center piece and drive cover
Figure out wtf I'm doing with my new mod still
Solder the tons of leds I have
Install the rest of my crap
Figure out what I'm doing with the rest of the faceplate, if anything
Read/flash/mod my DVD drive board
More probably...

Chances are this won't be finished in time...

My mom still hasn't gotten me the paint yet and isn't until tomorrow. It's been raining. This isn't being finished in time for the mod off, but it will be finished... some time soon
