since ive been trying to go through the tutorial section and all of the pictures and such are broken. i was wondering if it would be ok if i downloadable PDF versions of all the tutorials. granted this process will take a while, i just think it would be usefull. these PDF's could be hosted on a server under AM's control so there arent anymore losses. all in favor?

yeh maybe at some point in the future we will hopefully get around to redoing the tuts and having PDF's

well, im up for offering my time. i was trying to go through them the other night for a certain tut, and there were broken images and other issues. so, yeah, it would be more helpful to the community, especially since these were made for the modders, by the modders

I would have to say maybe making a "Flash PDF" so nobody can torrent our work or hotlink to the download mirror.

PDFs are handy for sharing, but what if you only want to share to members! Flash Tutorials!

I don't think that a flash PDF would be good as the only option as I think people should be able to view the tuts on any device. I may do a flash app filled with the tuts at a later date as if I do it with cs5 I should be able to export it to iPhone.

who is this kink guy? I dint know him very well... no offence dude...this is a three man job.

I am looking for a new tutorial manager. (my part)

allot of the links are easily fixable, they are just broke due to case sensitive file names. (the older server did not distinguish between upper and lower case file paths. the new one does. first we need a list of tuts that have broke pics. then we can move them back to the submission area. but all the tuts that are done and broke I would like to see another member fix. hence the list. (tut manager part)

then once the site is in order we can discuss PDF downloads. (tut manager part)

then we will need to go through and upload all the tut pics and replace them with links that point to the am server. similar to how we do RND just need an upload link that sends data to the tut files. (robin this is your part)

ok matt if you can sort out the tut manager people i will sort out a file upload script for the tutorials so that all pictures from the tutorial page can be uploaded - i will also hook up an on the fly watermarking script so that we can upload un-watermarked pictures and have them watermarked on the fly.

clearly im interested.

and matt, im just some guy thats been browsing the forums for a few years now, havent done any major mods til yet, gonna try and redo a nico classic, the psp trackball. i was looking through the tut section and noticed a bunch that i couldnt follow and figured, wouldnt it be great to have a portable version of this to work with? hence the PDF.

just let me know what you need me to do. im on it

anything done by cyber or nico can be restored by taking the url and capitolizing the last word, or if its a sub folder the second to last word. I will show you. I need to check the tut manager permissions and set kink and sniper up to work as a team to correct and police this area.

I am going to set you both up as tut managers, and will make a tut admin board for the two of you to discuss what you are working on so your not working on the same tut.
