[Not Finished] LED Tutorial
« on: April 08, 2010, 05:31:38 PM »
Ok LEDs seem pretty straight forward right? Maybe so, but what if you want the perfect resistor get get optimal performance out of your LED?

Well. LEDs have this thing called a forward voltage, forward voltage varies between 0.7 volts all the way to 12 volts. Factors of the forward voltage are the color, sometimes size, power consumption, and light wavelength.

If you look at most Packages/Data sheets of your LED's Package, normally they will tell you it's forward voltage and current consumption.
