Need Some help with pulsevu2
« on: April 27, 2010, 06:36:33 AM »
Hey guys, I'm in pretty dire need of some help. I'm trying to get my ps3 case mod done in time for the spring mod off. I've got my LEDs wired up and they are all good, they're hooked into a pulsevu2 and I've got 5v(USB) running to power the chi and 5v(USB) powering the LEDs. I can get it to fade with the PO pad hooked to - and I can get the pulse to the music with PO + but for the life of me I can't figure out how to change modes with the SW switch/button. I had it wired like this diagram:

But it's still no good......any ideas??

I didn't use a resistor on mine, take it out and put the negative wire to SW. I believe its too big of a resistor, and its not nesessary

Tried it.....still no luck. I'm pretty sure it's been recalled. Check this out:
04.15.09
PulseVU 2 Recall
We have discovered a manufacturing fault affecting a limited batch of our PulseVU 2 devices. This does not affect the PulseVU 2X. The problem affects the ability to switch modes. If you have purchased a PulseVU 2 between August, 2008 and March, 2009, and are unable to switch modes or are experiencing problems with SW pad, you may contact us with your order number and we will provide you with instructions for returning your PulseVU 2 for repair. We apologize for this inconvenience.

I got it from an Ebay Store in Canada....who knows how long they've had it.

i think that was only for the pulsevu 2, not the 2X. And are you sure you held the momentary switch for at least 5 seconds, mine takes about that long to go into mode changing
