A 1000 deg  :faint:
any idea what the melting point of the solder is?

A 1000deg  nope I dont think you do

youve either fried the chip does it look bubbled turned a different shade of green usally darker

or youve turned the 1000 little solder balls under the gpu into 1 solder blobo  :hifive:

its broke mate and your not going to fix it.
lesson learned  :#1:

1000 degrees is more then double the heat you need in order to reflow the board.

Listen Thejld, I'm not sure what you don't understand but the maximum you should reflow at is 500 degrees. That's the heat temp. If you got the CHIP(s) to 500 degrees, they'd surely be melting at that point.

You reflowed at double the recommended temperature.

YOU FRIED STUFF. lol

Yep, I bought a cheap oven from Wally World and it works great. Only cost me 25 bucks. I made hooks in there to hang stuff from and it work great.

the melting point of most normal solder is right at 400 degrees, but at this temp the solder will be completly liquid, a few short blasts at around 450-500 should do the trick any more then that and your wasting your time. try a hair dryer
