how do you solder to a trace?

okay so i want to do the jitter mod but... i don't know how to solder to the "Y" point do i scracht the green stuff of with like an exacto till i get copper or what?

and use some flux to help the solder take to the trace

no need to tell me that flux is my best friend. lol

But thanks everyone for the feedback. i was always wondering how; and now i know. jitter mod works like a beast to  :tup:
