turtle beach to controller wire connection

i have th x1 turtle beach head set and while playing the part you connect to the control broke. can i cut the wires and connect them to the controllers motherboard? (the mic part) :dntknw:

definately but keep in mind you will lose the ability to:
-toggle on and off on mic.
-unplug
-volume control

i find not being able to unplug it will become a problem.

you can buy another audio plug from radio shack. also if you really wanted something to do  use the parts from your plug and use jumpers from them to wire directly to you controller. you could take the plug out of you controller to save the time of cutting an extra whole(aside from the ones you'll need to make for the switch and volume control) and not really need to spend any more than a few bucks for hardware.
