Lifey's PSP (now with video)
« on: April 22, 2007, 01:32:01 AM »
This one has a few new elements to it an is defanatly one of my best pieces so far.

Lifey asked me to install music pulsing LED's along with a few other mods. What I didnt fully realize at the time was, this would be the first fully internal music mod so far. Cyber's original poc worked only via the headphone jack. So there was a fair bit of brainstorming between cyber an myself to get this going. But it was well worth it.

Full list of mods.

1. Clear case (installed by lifey :))
2. 4 LED's music pulsing
3. Wifi/mem/power to blue
4. Usb Charging
5. Dual nub (with lower profile)
6. Hold switch for lighting on/off

Testing the music pulse

Mem/wif/power blue

lighting installed

USB charging

Dual Nub

Final Video

Its filed mostly by the nub. I could fill it with hot glue, but Lifey's got plans for more mods so dont want to make it any to difficult to open in the future.

there are these things u can get that u put in th power, headphone and usb jack that prevents dust from getting in...it was designed for the power cable to actually be in, but it should still fit

That looks pretty cool but a couple questions. So did you just take out the yellow power plug for the nub, that why it fits better? Also did you just solder 1 wire to get it to charge through usb?
