Psp Fan

Hi.
I am modding my psp phat and i have clear blue housing on it and 8 soundreactive leds.
I want to put a fan on the back where the Umd is but idk where to solder it...

can anyone help?? please? thanks.  :hifive:

Well, its a good schematic. But yes it is a pointless mod since that psp doesnt even get hot.

I shouldnt do the mod cuz i cant understand the diagram? lol ... all i asked was where to solder it .. didnt know it took that much to install a fan. i just wanted to try it out cuz i ve tried all the other mods but a fan. thx K.A.O. and everyone elese who helped.. or tried to lol...

dude. just look at the voltage it takes to power the fan.... look at a diagram for the voltages of the psp mobo/ power board then solder that puppt to the + and - voltage parts... throw in a switch and there you go lol. :tup: thats what i would do.... well i would accualy just try soldering the fan wire somewhere and see if it works lol

Basically, solder a switch to your power supply, then solder in your fan (Including resistor if required), with a capacitor across the motor terminals (If you want, it's just for smoothing the voltage out in case of any spikes), and a diode across the terminals in reverse (To protect your PSP when you turn it off if you are using the PSP for a power source).

Then solder the other end of your fan to 0 volts, and install it. :P

Well, this depends on the stats of the motor for your fan really... And how you want it connected.

Would you want it connected to your PSP's battery pack? Or would you want a separate power supply for it.

Get a 5v fan instead of a regular PC 12v.. and solder it directly to the battery pack pins and put an on off switch under the battery case.
