Prt Scrn button doesnt work

I have just built a computer and everything works perfectly except for the simple print screen button on the keyboard. I'm not in complete dire need of it or anything, but was just wondering why its not working.    Any suggestions?

What do you think that button does?

Push it, then go into MS Paint. Paste. Your screenshot should appear in the Paint window.

Your print screen button is broken.

try temporarily remapping the key.

Your key boards broken, or if it is a usb one , get a ps/2 one because It may solve your case, but its nothing to do with the computer.

there might be dust or dirt preventing the two traces from contacting when you press down on the key, i'm not sure if you could check this without taking the whole keyboard apart, i'd just remap the key, or use a screen capture program, or microsoft snip tool

That's the solution to get it fixed, if it was working all the time and it just stopped you probably spilt something or food got inside or just dust and water.
