PSP GO with internal camers mod and led lights

Hey guys so i said i was going to be posting my progress on this project and obviously this is where im going to post my updates. (LOL)

As of now i am still waiting for my GO CAM to arrive in the mail. And same with the LED's i bought on E-Bay...

For those who are wondering what i am doing, it goes as follows...

(I always wondered ever since the psp go came out why there wasn't a camera for it so i decided to try and incorparate one into my psp go.)

1. Install a PSP GO CAM into my PSP GO (Not sure if possible)

2. Install LED's under the bumpers on backplate and in PS button and under the D-Pad's. (Possible)

3. Install Sound Reactive LED's into speaker holes. (Possible)

4. Add a custom paint job to make it look flashy!  (Possible)

  I will be posting updates and photo's and some vid's if i can to keep you up to speed on my progress.

1. Install a PSP GO CAM into my PSP GO (Not sure if possible)

Seems like to me you have never modded before... There is no CFW for psp go... how in the world would you install a go cam in a psp go if the firmware does not support it. Also the PSP go uses a proprietary usb port, and the go! cam uses mini usb. I'd think about shipping that go cam back if I were you...

yes i realize that the psp go uses a different usb port. and yes the firmware does support a camera. it's the same firmware that all the other psp's use. the bluetooth functions are a hardware add on. So their is no difference because it's the same firmware. and as for installing the camera it's just a matter of hooking the wires to the right pins on the usb port.

Next time do your research before trying to shoot down someone's mod.

P.S. I have done other mods i just don't post them.

Tell you what. I'll get a PSP Go, mod it, and we can compare who's is better. I mean, I won't be adding a "Flashy" paint job, or adding leds to my "dpad's" but we can compare when we're done...
And good job being part of a forum and sharing your mods you don't post, I commend you.

Settle down people, no need to get confrontational... also not necessary to make snide remarks about other peoples modding abilities, their misconceptions of the difficulty level of a specific mod, and their willingness to share their mods with us. in fact that's far more likely to make them NOT want to share, or even stick around AM...

If you don't have anything nice to say then stfu... however if you'd like to be more encouraging and kind, by all means please do...

but anyway`s im hoping to have this mod finished by june at the latest. (cuz i work almost everyday of the week for 8 to 10 hours. and am too tired to do serious work after...)

finally got my LEDS in the mail (E-Bay) and although they are a little briter then expected they will work just as good. I am having problems getting my GO cam, the company claims they sent it but Canada Post said that they never recieved a package to my address with that tracking number. So i hope i get that sorted out soon.... And will be posting pics of my current progress soon!

sorry it took me so long to update: Still not able to upload my pics... 

My Progress so far is:

- 6 red led's in rear bumpers (installed)
- 2 red led's under control pads (installed)
- 2 red led's in speakers that are sound reactive (delayed due to missing led's)
- red led under PS button (not installed yet)
- psp go camera mod (unfortunatly not quiet possible, broken camera, not enough space)
- paint job (successfully finished and added psp 3000 ring for good measure)

All in all so far in happy with my work. although slow it is...

lol no i didnt hold you for it i was kinda doubtful myself that i could do it. And it looks kinda crappy now cuz it bulges a little from the glue holding the wires and theres a crack on the rear of the case but other then that it dosent look half bad i guess but i can be a perfectionist.

BTW how did you get your name changed? been meaning to ask.

And if you want your name changed, just ask an admin, they should be able to do it for you. I'd just make sure you haven't been acting up or trolling on anybody ( like I did ) and you should be good to get one.

I know it's been way too long for an update but here it is....

UPDATE:

- Project failure.

I had everything installed properly but couldn't get the lights to come on bright enough to be seen. The Go cam would have worked but there is nowhere near enough room for the board anywhere.

All-in-all im glad i tried, but ended up as Neo predicted. A failure.

hey Crumbz, even if the camera didn´t fit, is it posible to make it external? how would the wiring schematics be? i know there is an adapter to plug the go cam but its not on the market anymore.
