psp 1000 wierd mod help

ok i got this psp from froggy that has mods done to it there are very strange, you have to have headphones plugged into the jack for the sound reactive lites and extra speaker to work lol and other things im trying to take it apart and see what wrong and fix it but i  cant get the screen out its so hard, i saw a vid and you had to press these four little pins down on the screen and i pressed them but the screen isint comin out, couls somone reply on how to do this. once i get it out i will post pics of what he did so someone can tell me what needs to be done, thanks Sam
