RROD help 0110->0020->0110

so ive been getting 0110 then a 0020 then it goes back and forth? i reballed the ram with leaded and sometimes when the heatsink was looser, it was 0020, but when it was tighter it was 0110? i reflowed both of them with my workstation?  any ideas?

you reballed the RAM??? I thought you were supposed to reball the GPU. I have ideas but it depends on what you actually did lol

it originally just had 0110. i have a hot air rework station and i dont have a nozzle big enough to reball the gpu. to reflow gpu i used a heatgun

0110 is a horrible error code to get. You are right on reballing the ram, but there are so many of them its just a pain in the ass to figure out which one it could be causing the problem. You can get a 4141 nozzle for around $20. And it pays itself off very quick if you know how to use a rework station. I just fixed an xbox with a 0020 error code and all i did was reball the cpu and the gpu and it runs like a champ.

yea i was looking into the 4141 nozzle but do u know if that wuld fit the chips for PS3 gpu and cpu also? im kind of trying to use it possibly for pps3 also.

Have yo checked the board over reallly good , make sure there isnt any missing componets, I had one where it was missing resistor, and other componets that someone else tryied to fix the RROD, and the mother board was warped and  missing components.

when i Heated the board it let it come back so it wasnt warped as bad but made alot of noise while it was heating, cracking poping etc, went thru the who process to find out componets were missing, went right in the garbage after that.

so if some caps or resistors are missing, the thing cant be revived? what if i replaced them?  i hope im not missing anything cuz its an HDMI elite.  oh well if its garbage i only paid 25 for it lol

of course it can be revived, as long as anything wasnt fried as a result of powering on. All you would have to do is replace the component.
