ebay sucks

had my dsi on there, and it was removed because i was selling an acekard with it.   the auction said specifically NO GAMES WILL BE ON THE ACEKARD! USING GAMES THAT YOU DO NOT OWN WITH THIS DEVICE IS ILLEGAL AND I DO NOT CONDONE SUCH ACTIONS! but they still removed the auction.  wtf?

yes even just it on its own is illegal i know its stupid but hey someone else mite buy it pity i don't get money yet as my son needs a new ds

-.- no its not illegal.  an acekard has MANY more uses than simple piracy.  Homebrew is the reason i bought the damn thing.  homebrew is NOT illegal. if it WAS this site would have been shut down years ago.

sorry but ya taking it out on the wrong person im just saying it not letting you sell with the card cos it can be use for pirated games no matter if it can do homebrew or not.

not taking anything out on you mate, just saying that its not illegal.  and that is complete crap >.> i dont get how selling something like that is legal on some site but not on others.

thats all i am saying.  how could it possibly be against any laws?

everything about the acekard is illigal. well technically not illigal, but it violates the terms of use on the device. you are breaking your agreement with nintindo by running homebrew. in the eyes of ebay and nintindo there is no difrence from homebrew apps and pyrated games. they are both unsigned code.

Not to bump this, but selling the acekard or anything of the sort is labeled as illegal under the DMCA. Ebay takes it down because it allows piracy. I also want to point something out: Just because something is illegal, doesn't mean it won't be sold or that the website would be taken down. That means absolutely NOTHING. (Kilokk)

Where in the DMCA does it say that using a device for homebrew is illegal? just because it allows piracy (as does jailbreaking, and last i checked you could sell jailbroken systems and phones on ebay) doesn't mean its the only thing you can do.

That's EXACTLY why it's illegal, because you CAN use it for piracy.

Also, about a year ago jailbreaking was removed from the DMCA. Where have you been? lol
