JTAG LIQUID COOLED XBOX 360

Alright, well its been awhile since i last posted an update on my mod. I call it the "DEATHBOX"

Ive been working my balls off on this the last couple days cause ive been sooo busy with school. My main goal is to stay away from making it fully internal. I want people to see as much of it as possible, why spend all the time and money on something just to have it hidden!?!? MAKE IT NOTICEABLE. I had to take a few capacitors and what i think are power inductors off the board and re route them so i could fit my pump inside. I cut a couple windows out and plexi glassed them. I then mounted my bitspower reservoir to the top Plexiglas window. The next time i update this, it should be just about done. Btw, im keeping this jtag with the 9199 dash because i absolutely HATE the kinect dash.

Alright guys, i made a bit of progress on this in the last couple days. Its still not done. Im waiting for some more parts to come in such as more leds. The pictures of it put together is just so i could do a flow test to make sure all the lines are hooked up correctly and there are no obstructions in the lines. Everything worked GREAT. I made the 320gb internal as you can see it being mounted in the back where the fan would go originally. The hard drive is also being used to hide wiring so it looks nice and clean. Im not worried about the cage having some scratches on the inside since they are not visible anyways. I am also going to put new plexiglass in the case since the pieces in there got scratched quite a bit. Im thinking of doing an airbrush job for the faceplate also. I still have to take it apart again to redo some wiring for the hard drive and to hookup the rest of the leds im waiting on.

Alright guys, well here is the almost finished product. Since its a jtag, i still want to put some goodies on the internal 320gb hard drive. I will be posting a video some time this week of this beast in action. It runs a steady temp of about 32 degrees Celsius which is about 90 degrees Fahrenheit. As you can see in the picture, the temp gauge is lit without the xbox being turned on. I hooked it up to a constant 5v source. I thought it would be pretty cool to show the temp as the xbox is turned off and watching how fast the temp drops. This thing is absolutely ridiculous in the dark lol, it pretty much lights up the entire room. Surprisingly its pretty quiet for having 2x120mm fans and a thermaltake pump.

Yeah, i believe one of them is the input filter and im not sure what the other caps are for. You can also see the power inductor between those caps. I had to move another power inductor but its mounted in the corner of the case so you wont be able to see it. This process was pretty damn hard because my soldering iron does not get hot enough to melt the solder so i had to use my reflow gun to do this. Took me almost an hour to get all of them removed and mounted

I finally got a little time on my hands so i decided to finish my faceplate. I base coated it with 3 thin coats of krylon fusion and then airbrushed a nuclear explosion and some skulls coming from the smoke of the explosion. I figured i might as well do something different with the sync button since i already had it out. So i cut a 9mm shell all the way down so its just the primed end of the casing. I had to bore out the hole for the sync button just like .005" so it would move in and out easily. Still not done with it, im still waiting on a couple more parts.

I finally got my last part in that i had to install on my computer so i could transfer goodies to my jtag.  As you may notice, im keeping the 9199 dash because i hate the kinect dash. Im using freestyle dash 2.0 with a nice little theme called krown. It matches the theme of my xbox pretty good. The hard drive has 293gb after formatting. The only games i have on it right now are batman arkham asylum and a few arcade games. I will be making a video this week of this beast in action. O yeah, the new freestyle dash also has a badass weather app and it works great.
