Oki im so sorry but i need help, i got my dvd drive replaced but it means its stole a sata connection and im still stuck with 160gb thats gonne be eatin up with alot of media
i was thinking of keeping the 160gb as my os and getting a 1tb for media.
my problem is i have all theese connections and wires and i have no idea wat i should buy...so i took a picture of my motherboard and wires so you can see wats been used up and wats free,
im assuming in picture 1 of the blue and orange connection id use that as a sata data cable?...but than that leaves the power the part im stuck on lol

Get a External, 1TB harddrive, and keep the 160gb for the operating system and core software.

Do you have another socket on board for sata. Oh yeah, may not be able to but another one because the case, probably only has one slot for one harddrive.

could you tell us the model of the motherboard? (pics dont really give much info)

and what do you mean about the power?

@techninja pretty much all standard size cases have at least 2 harddrive mountings...

oh wait no i can see in the pic you have 2 more sata sockets so you just need a sata harddrive and sata power(there maybe another sata power connection coming from your psu or you may need a molex adapter) and a sata cable as far as im aware

i have 3 slots for 3.5 hardrives and also a 5.5 bay
