ps3,usb and sound?

oki iv notice theres a few usb headphones on the market for the ps3, but doing abit of search mostly on post that seem to be old  that the ps3 cant produce sound thru the usb port......so whats rite? and if it can produce sound thru the usb could i plug up usb speakers or just headsets for comunication

you can use a usb pc headset with mic as long as its plug and play

ah rite reason im asking is my av port is loose so have to move it about....i bought a hdmi monitor that doesnt have speakers....any way that leaves the usb port and the optical port and it seems impossible to get a hold of optical speakers that are not £300 and iv notie of the increase of us speakers lalty

if theres a optical port on your tv like mine and most others just use that or if you gots a sony/modern hifi that should have a optical port works great on them better than tv (just dont have it to loud lol) if your useing av leads most have the audio ports on most people used a jack to use ear phones on or if hdmi you need the optical stuff as i dont think you can use more than optical with that setting.

he said monitor not tv i would assume that it is a pc monitor that he is using and most of the hdmi ones that i have seen don't have audio out of any kind.  but i may be wrong

The monitor has no speakers wats so ever and th AV port inside the ps3 is loose probs needs re solderd it is old and been used alot but the hdmi is fine and so is the optical
