« on: March 06, 2011, 03:46:16 AM »
hey, if been meaning to do this mod. I have a analog / nub with the wires connected and the ground wire in place but i dont know where i should solder these wires to the d-pad from the gba. i just want to make the analog work in place of the d-pad.. any thoughts?

i'll try to attach a picture of the d-pad board

use your multimeter to check if one contact of the button is connected to one contact of each of other buttons

you could make a pcb like this, and swap it our with the one inside the stock psp analog.

if you make a pcb like this you don't even need to bother doing what i said, however you are going to have to modify the nub no matter what you do because it simply isn't setup to do what you want

ok as long as they have a common line you can do this just like a psp dual nub mod, heres some tutorials

you just have to do exactly the same as these tuts but obviously the points for the buttons on the gba will be different to on the psp

yes that will work but the red wire on your diagram only needs to connect to one of the common pads (one of the ones that are all connected), not all 4.

P.S i cant actually tell you 100% that that diagram will work because i dont know which side of the buttons is the common side.
