haha, yeah he probably would look at you like you were crazy. oh, and since I'm a stickler for spelling (and thought I'd tease you a bit)... it's actually "y'all" a contraction of you and all, the apostrophe goes after the y... lol just thought I'd put it out there so all y'all know...

sorry, I've been in Texas for 15 years and I use it all the time, but I still find "y'all" and "all y'all" amusing...

My point is lost. I give up. I hope at least a couple of you have gotten the point.

the point was not lost, denali, but I think many of the people who are here have been here for long enough to have heard something very similar espoused by the majority of the staff and veteran members at least a dozen times in their tenure here at the site. your point is the whole point of AcidMods. That's why the site was created, and that's why it has stayed around and active for as long as it has. Believe me, I've been here since the beginning, the point is not lost on anyone here, that has been the way we've been doing things since '06 and that's how we'll continue to do things...

the founder, grandpasmurf (AKA CyberPyrot, or SYSTEM) was literally a grandfather (well i suppose he still is since he's still lurking in the shadows here and there, though not a major presence anymore) hence why the focus is more oriented at helping others and creating an accepting environment for everyone of all ages. he wanted someplace kids could go and be accepted and helped and not turned away, scoffed at, or called a 'n00b' for their lack of knowledge and experience. this is also why you'll hear many of us make a distinction between the terms 'newb' (a newbie, someone new to the scene) and 'n00b' (an idiot who has no clue what they're talking about or doing though thinks they're a master of everything and know more than anyone else).
