In the game of monopoly everybody wants everything, and this stands true in the real world as well. Every company in the world seems to be branching out into new territory in the last couple of years which can be a good thing because people like certain things done a certain way, so variety makes it easier to find your perfect tech matches.
Amazon has entered into discussions with some unnamed major record companies as well as major film studios in Hollywood. Amazon wishes to create a digital locker service for all of their digital content libraries.
The intention is that it will become a locker cloud service which will allow users to store their book, music, and video content on the company’s servers, even if the content was not purchased from Amazon.
Amazon has not yet obtained all of the proper licenses to make this service possible; however Amazon managers have said that they can announce the upcoming service before all of the preparations are complete.
You can expect to hear more about this new service from Amazon possibly within the week.
It is refreshing to see another contender in the race to the cloud.
