Hey everyone
As you can probably already tell, I'm new here. First off, just wanna say that this site is amazing, some really creative things happening that I would love to be a part of.
So, for my first project, I've decided to make a giant COG from Gears of War in anticipation for GOW 3 this fall.

It's gonna be painted blood red with red leds, with hopefully a 2 mode led system, one being a pulseVU and the other being a glowy/watery effect.
More pics to come.

Very nice. I like it a lot. Id make like a shadow box sort of case for it so light floods out of it.

'Nother update. Nearly finished!

First off, scuffed some spots for a 'battle scarred' look.

Shiny, I know.
Next, thanks to a generous temporary donation by Mogler, It lights up even shinier!

BOOM! There's the flavor!

Now i just gotta finish scuffing a little more and order more cathodes.

Reallly nice work, is that stainless steel? its amazing the machines they offer in school now days, back when i was in high school you would of had to bandsaw that out by hand , and pay for the material its self, and that would of been a lot of work ....lol better enjoy school cuz in the real world no company will let you waist your time on G-jobs... with there expensive machines...lol

Wow, been awhile. Now that the launch of Gears of War 3 is rapidly approaching, and the sign has been sitting collecting dust for the last couple months, I think I may try and sell it. No idea how, or for how much.

Any ideas?

I was thinking ebay, but then I thought of shipping. It;s not exactly small, or light, or completely dull lol.
Guess I'll try craigslist, or just haul it to the launch with me and see what happens.

I wouldn't really be soliciting, more like showing it off. If someone were to offer me cash for it, so be it. Plus the guys at our GameStop are pretty chill, I honestly don't think they would mind.

to incorporate a similar design in to a desk im planning out at the moment and its to be built in the winter in woodshop:D
