Questions about case modding
« on: April 26, 2011, 03:41:55 PM »
well i've been thinking of doing a case mod on my ps3 slim, but i'm afraid  that im going to break it   :boxed:

So I'm wondering if someone can make a list of what could possibly go wrong (besides the obv. completely burning it out) and how to fix it.
Thanks,
Joe

if all you're doing is a case mod, there's not that much that could really go wrong... the worst things that could happen are you could mess up the case, or you could get it all apart and then not be able to get it back together...
AcidMods Ninja... You won't know I'm there until you're gone...

All of these sigs are from the original acidmods sig comp...  @jrfhoutx  "No respect, no respect at all... that's the story of my life." --

Well I'm really just thinking of putting leds in the front.  I mean what if connect the leds to too strong of a power supply, would it destroy the leds or the power supply itself(the system)

This should help you , using the right resistor should prevent you from destroying the leds

Best thing to do is to go in with confidence because if you do, its VERY unlikely that something will go wrong. I believe in you and go for it, make a thread and if you get into any troubles or need some artistic advice then acidmods is here to back you up. There are many people who know what they are doing to help you out in all fields from cutting to painting and all around. Thats how I got my case mod done and I learned alot from it. It's all you man, go for the kill.
