USB pic Prgrammer
« on: February 27, 2011, 08:37:14 AM »
i  bought a pic programmer off ebay, it has usb. I installed the drivers and i tried to program a pic12f683 with robbo jitter mod, and when i open the hex file it shows all of these #'s, when i erase the chip and program it, and verify, it completes with no errors, but when i read the chip all it shows are 0000. I have programmed pic12f629, and it got programmed properly except for eerom data, in it there are all 0000, the pictures of the hex code and software running are below, should i use a different pic

When I read my pic12F683 after programming it it comes up with all 0000 also. Its supposed to do that. It should be fine. But since your using a pic12F629 I cant be 100% sure.

That's because you guys have read protect enabled. Disable that if you want to see the hex that was written to the chip.
