CR 3100 Compatability Problems
« on: May 11, 2011, 10:18:22 PM »
So I got my Cr 3100 in the mail today and i tried to install it into my psp. all went well until i tried to turn it on. It wont start now but will start with out the Cr 3100 plugged in. So i figured that id format it and see if it helped. Nothing, all i get is "Format Failed". So tried to format it on my computer first and it says "Windows cannot complete the format".

Any ideas?

UPDATE:

So thought id try reformatting my psp to see if it helped, but it still doesn't work. It will read but will not show any content that i add and says that there is 0KB available space.

I really need help with this because this is now holding my project (8 months in so far cuz i wasn't rushing) back from completion.

Any help is appreciated!

Verify a proper connection, the ribbon cable can break off the main board of the 3100 very easily. What card configurations have you tried? How are you formatting? Remember it formats in a raid format so your data will corrupt if the cards are separated. Try using only one card and try switching sides.
