drop shot mod, i need help
« on: June 30, 2011, 09:35:47 PM »
i was making a dropshot mod, i already now that i can solder 2 wires to b, and add a button, but i wanted to make it so that it press b, every time i press rt(or lt), i have tried connecting the b wires  together and connecting them to a on/off switch(not a light swtch),  and having the other wire connected to the middle point on the right side(the point in the middle of the 3 points on the right side of the controller

You have a common problem when doing stuff like this, you could either use a double pole switch or you could maybe program a pic to do it for you

B button-switch - resistor - power
RT middle pin- switch - resistor -power

I use 330 ohm resistors for middle pin

Also I don't think you can use a single pole switch because then B and middle pin would be connect al the time meaning every time u press B it should probably fire.

If you get anywhere tell me

Thanks

PIC - Programmable Integrated Circuit
IC - Integrated Circuit

Can you not program 555 timers?

No, 555 timers are not programmed, you control their operation by the use of external components.
