Ive had that problem countless times. Just follow the trace all the way to a solder point "hole" and solder a piece of 30awg wire from the pin to the solder point

The middle leg is the important one, the outer pins are vcc and ground. All you need to do is run a lead from the other stick or another ground or vcc point, as I don't remember which is which, but that info is onsite somewhere.

i havent tried to do a repair yet on it. but when it is tight and not moving it doesnt shoot. pretty has something to do with the middle pin.. but when i mash start and go back it shoots?

yes, 1tonpete is right. I fixed two controller with this problem. The upper point is analog voltage (TP8) and the lower is ground (TP2 or TP22)

thanks. i will try it to do.. just run it to the other side point on the left triggger? both or just ground?
