PSP L2 & R2 MOD Reborn! (WIP)
« on: July 22, 2011, 03:52:30 AM »
The concept I decided to go with:
1k image - I'm doing this on the 2k (Doing this on the 1k is just as easy.)

After trying out both, I found the above placement to be most comfortable and easy to access.
Note the placement of the 2 arrows on the image.
That is where the triers will be, however both triggers will be virtual invisible.
As the left trigger is going to be covered by the MS slot cover and the right one by the trim.
This way both the MS cover and the right trim become the actual button.
Quite ingenious.  :w00t:

And this mod won't require the drilling of the L and R triggers. :)
Instead 2 small holes in the shell.

The below mod is still a potability, but the above mod although maybe not as cool looking will have ease of use.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If any of you guys have seen my old MOD done in '08.
You will recognize this idea.

My new MOD will look slick and professional.
Something like the:

Instead of adding buttons to the outside of the PSP, this time I will simply drill 1 small hole in each trigger button and add the button below it with an extended switch.

This is going to make PS1 games more fun again.

I love the idea . How are you going to hook these buttons up?

Seems like a good idea.  But im not sure how you're going to get it to work.  I understand the wiring fine, its just the placement of the switches....  There is almost no room under the triggers, and for them to work they need that area of movement cleared.  I understand if you drilled through them, they could pass through the switch, but the base of the switch is thick...

Good luck, hope you pull it off.

I have found an alternative position for the buttons that may in fact be much more comfortable to press.

I might go with that one instead. :)
