So I got this jtagabble  xbox, but it has three red rings and the secondary code is 0021. When I first got it the secondary code was 0022 then I  reflowed the cpu, gpu, hana chip and got the current secondary code. Has anybody managed to fixed this error or should I just give up on it.?

try to reflow again the solder joint is bridged on the gpu or shorted , which could be from bridged solder joint o r on the southbridge chip

Every time I reflow the southbridge chip liquid of some sort starts bubbling out and once I am done reflowing that liquid turns into a yellow crust. Im thinking its flux.

Might be, being it was jtagged,  might be able to clean it with alcohol that could be shorting it out the flux, when doing reflows they say to use no clean flux pretty cheap can get it off e-bay

Ill reflow the southbridge for the third time, hopefully third time is the charm.

Well I think the xbox is now a good paper weight. It wont turn on GPU chip lifted half way up but I softly pushed it back in place while reflowing. The power brick doesnt go automatically to red when I plug it in so theirs no short circuit and I checked to see if there is current going through the motherboard and there is.

Is the motherboard warperd? dont give up, just take a  minute and look it over , I have had some pretty warperd motherboards and brought them back to life they wouldnt turn on or nothing, I just did one the other day, and Now has a 0110 error so I took a  break and will reflow it again soon,  look it over . I wouldnt through it out or nothing, would see if you could get it reballed.

The board itself is not warped at all, I have looked to see if any capacitors have been blown or any signs that will cause it not to power up. For a reball, I cant reball since I dont have the equipment. Do you having a xbox repair service?

I do repairs but I don't have the equipment yet to do reballs I just started looking in to what I will need to do repairs like that. Reballing GPUs and CPUs .

So I did it once more and I managed to get it to turn on for a second and then the power brick turns read. While I was reflowing the gpu was lifted up even more and I gently pushed it down and now its making contact with other points.

this must be an older board, most of the new gpus have glue around the edge of them to keep them from lifting, sounds to  me like maybe the boards a little warped, are you using a griddle to pre heat the board? what I would do is make sure you let it cool off before moving. when it cools take a  hot glue or sometype of glue that will with stand heat  and  put some on the 4 corners of the  gpu. thats probably why its turning red no good connection there.

The board itself is a xenon, so yeah it is old. I dont have glue that can do that. I usually start my heat gun on low then I put it on high. Damn I think I only need to fix the GPU and it may work again, although the GPU has some bubbles in it. I think I may need to find someone to reball it. I dont use a griddle.

You can get a griddle cheap for like $20 bucks at walmart or other places if you do decide todo  this it could help out alot better by keeping the board flat and not moving it  around while heating it up. might be the solution to your problem.
