I had an idea about a security mod for controllers a lil while back...
Basically it just a pin , that you would pull and the pin can attach to like a key chain. The pin once removed renders the controller useless as the pin would be the connection for the ground. Be kind of like a safety on a grenade , just a pin with a ring to pull with your finger. Just a thought.
But if you want to personalize your controllers , and are new to modding, I recommend you start out by painting one or if really rambunctious try installing 3mm leds in some buttons. There are tutorials all over this site on how to personalize your controller just about anyway you like.

- mark the insides of ur controllers with permeant marker
- you could paint them
- buy a shotgun
- jot down the warranty no.
- buy a shotgun
- leds (but u would find them pretty hard to install
- buy a shotgun
- button mods ( the easiest )can buy a set on ebay really cheap and they come with T8

So after you install the LEDs, your 'friends' will just steal them again. This wont solve your problem, since the mods will have your friends stealing them more. Sounds more like you need to keep these people away from your stuff.

Theres tutorials here to learn how to do what you want.

Unfortunately, there is not a tutorial on life and how to deal with bullies which is obviously the real problem here. As mentioned earlier, real friends dont take stuff and use thier parents to keep the spoils. It sounds more like you have these kids over to try to impress them, and they show up in order to get free controllers. Even if you put your name on the controller, I highly doubt it will help any. They will lie about it anyway. Keep these people away from your stuff. If they really are your friends, take your stuff back. You dont need to ask. If you cannot walk to thier house and pickup your controller and go home with it, then they are not your friends.

if i mod them then i can prove its mine because there parents know they can't mod.i did try to write down the modle number and even write my name on them.they whip it off some how and tear the sticker off.the only reason they come over anymore is because my mom is engaged to there grandfather.

forget marking the insides with a sharpie, instead engrave your name into the controller's plastic. that way they wuld need to sand it down to get it off.  or hide them when they come over.  if not Shotgun! LOL

yeah i think the best thing is to hide them when they come over. Also wouldnt their parents eventually notice that they have a different controller every time you say something?

@ 1TONpete - I really like that pin idea! Gave me a thought...

like CMM said. hide the controllers when theyre over, say they took all of them and they have plenty to use they just need to bring them over. dont be afraid to push the "im not very fond of you" tone.

then if they bring the controllers to your house mark them as yours so they cant take them back to theirs wthout it being noticed.

..thats what i would do.

you could also try telling your mom that they are taking your controllers, if she is engaged to the grandfather, then she can tell the grandfather to tell their parents, or maybe she would get the chance to tell their parents herself.

First thing I would do is inspect all the damage and see whats salvageable. How many controllers we talking here? Anyways if you have to deal with these thieves, I recommend you try
1 to keep a close eye on your stuff
2 personalize your controllers.
3 if you want a security mod I will work on dev for one. How much can you mod? what can you do?

I have an Idea you could buy one of them cheap docking stations and if the charge is broken it will sound of an alarm and you could have a hidden switch  (something that needs a screwdriver, doesn't really matter ) to take it out without sounding the alarm, u can probably get a small board with the whole alarm bit ready done so it wouldn't be too hard.

I would be willing to help you

yeah thats plausable. you just go buy a cheap door alarm for $1, and put the one magnet on the inside if the controller and the other half in the base it would be sitting on. Then you would have to have a hidden switch somewhere on the base to allow yourself to take off the controller.

Or just invest in a good BB shotgun.

(I do not condone violence, it is just an idea... Even though the idea can bring about violence... I do not condone it)

CMM's got it going there.
personally i would go the extra mile and use a magnetic switch and a smoke detector. no one ignores a smoke detector.

240 is the same thing as 220, 240 is the official spec, usually runs closer to 220.  Just like here in the US, officially it is 120V, but it is more commonly known as 110V because that is what is runs at.

you could always be like me get a tazzer and tell them to come over wait for them to knock at the door then turn the tazzer on and put it to the door knob and tell them to come in and as soon as they touch the door knob they will get shocked to hell i have pulled that on so many people and its always funny no matter how many times you pull it on someone LMAO

One thing I have to say, we all say get a shotgun, or shock them, and it is funny to talk about. In all seriousness, please keep in mind that 120V is dangerous.  If the 120V travels across the heart, it is enough to kill someone.  Please do not hook your friends, or even not your friends, to a 120V AC outlet.
