Gaui 330x Build
« on: November 25, 2011, 03:43:47 AM »
Here is my Gaui 330x s Quadcopter

be warned, theres alot of pics here..

it can lift 1.1kg, more than enough for cameras and anything else id want to strap to this thing.

it took roughly about 4 hrs to put together.

this is basically its brain. it came in a nice clear box surrounded by foam, as any brain should.

10amp ESC's for each motor

nice heavy motors

threadlock on every bolt, super glue on every corner, and every finger.

all i need now is a lipo and we will see if it flys..

ive also got this 'terminator' frame, it has a 2 axis camera mount on servos. i will change the frame once ive got used to flying it..

i will be using this 2.4ghz 9 channel radio

this is what these things are capable of, hopefully i can eventually get some footage like this, RC is an expensive hobby, so it might be a while before i get the cash to buy some decent cameras and FPV equipment..

How much did you pay for the quadcopter?
I heard about quadcopters and hexacopters and always wanted one

Rc is a very expensive hobby however flying in general is expensive as well.  It looks like alot of fun. looks like you got up past 1500 feet

i paid about 350 USD for the kit, the radio was another 50 or so. the prices can get pretty ridiculous, you have to look around to get your moneys worth.

ive ordered a battery, so i will try get some video of it flying.
