GT5 themed PS3

probably the color that i will be using

from the measurement and data that i have collected by building the dummy paper air scoop. i use it to design in a 3D software.














this was only the alpha design, i will take it into beta design to make it more better. the 3d design already half done and i will upload it as soon it is finish.

just to get a rough idea, the color scheme will be like this, the black will be carbon.


next step:
-upload beta design.
-fiber body work.
-programming arduino.

i like the spoiler as it finishes the look of the buggati ps3 style. what would be awesome is if you could have the spoile in a flat down position when off and have it raise up when the console is powered on like the real car. also it would be cool if you had some bright white leds that are mounted either side of the front console and flicker on when it is powered on like headlights (would need the option to turn them off as the could get anoying).

man.. this will contain spoiler for the mods... oh well.

all the parts will be build by using fiberglass. there will only be 3 piece, left airscoop, right airscoop, and the spoilers.

How to fiberglass (subwoofer enclosure)

as i said this is an alpha design, much like the hatsune miku that i did for the last modoff it will have a beta design. on the beta design all of the car logo or wording will be airbrushed.

the design was drawn by using maya, i don't know if everyone actually install maya in their computer. however, i could upload it into google sketchup format. people can look at the design, rotate it and etc, but im not so sure if we could modify it using sketchup for modding purpose.

im 70% confident i can pull this off. Its quite easy compared to what i have planed for this year mod-off

nice question... when we are talking about veyron... how could we ignore this.

im not going to make it as complicated as that. i just wanted it to rise up when we turn on the PS3, and lowered down when we power off the PS3.
i have said earlier that i think im 70% confident that i can pull it off, the 30% that im not sure about is the spoiler.

i have to say that it looks funny, thats why in the beta design im using a gt wing very similar like this. but i havent decided on the final design yet.

Good thing its not in a competition or mod off , it might get finished , looks good but i gotta agree with Tracey , them spoilers are for what?  Indy cars use them due to there 200+ MPH  engineered to keep the car to the ground,   these cars on the street have no need for them  Nice  concept hope to see it finished

rodent the veyron does have a use for them as without it it would crash and fly. the veyron has a top speed of 253mph

If i had that kind of money I would drive it like its meant to be driven at full speed probably end up dead in it. NO MERCEY FOR SPEED JUST RESPECT IT!!!

I would say a real american made car like the 1965 split window Corvette. But accutally the PS3 resembles the Lamborghini's

...and as a car enthusiast, I honestly doubt ANY car is fully 100% american made. I drive a DODGE Stealth and every single part in it says "mitsubishi" on it(including the manufactures sticker in the door has a mitsu logo). I cant even order parts without saying its a Mitsubishi 3000GT.  Slapping an American badge on something is just an illusion that it's American.

well Honestly back in 1965 the Chevrolet Sting-Ray split window corvette was made in the U.S.A and probably parts of Canada. not positive but most Chevrolets as of pre 2002 there sheet metal was being stamped in canada. cant say the sheet metal was from here though that probably shipped from over seas.

The newer ones ride so much better 2011 and 2012 and they come with special options after $80,000...lol for $140,000 i think it is they come with another 250 ho.. right around the 750 mark i believe which is bad ass

Hahaha gotta laugh at that one, and your not much younger then me and those cars are way before my time... yet thats when people took pride in there work, and produced a very good quality car for a good price! after 1976 they ruined that with emisions and then in the 80's plastic parts started coming a new part of making cars.
